Arrive in Chiang Mai, to be welcomed and transferred to your VERANDA CHIANG MAI THE HIGH RESORT.
Depart resort and drive up the serpentine road to the magnificently situated Wat Doi Suthep. Perched on a forested mountain, this most sacred of Chiang Mai’s temples (3,280 ft.) provides a superb view over the city, as well as a wealth of images and frescos. Continue to two important temples of Chiang Mai – Wat Chedi Luang where the Emerald Buddha was once enshrinedand Wat Phra Sing,home to Phra Phutthasihing, a 1,500-year old Chiang Sean- style buddha image which is Chiang Mai’s most sacred. Return to the resort.
A welcome Thai set-dinner at the resort.
After breakfast, Drive to the south of the city to visit Wat Ton Kwen or Wat Inthrawat, one of the finest examples of classic Lanna architecture in Northern Thailand. Proceed to hang Dong for an incredible gastronomic experience with the local Ruankaew-Yanon family. You will be welcomed into their home to experience a typical day in the life of a Thai person, in a real Thai neighbourhood. You will learn to cook traditional home cooked recipes with authentic Northern Thai flavorus that are different from standard dishes offered in commercial cooking classes. Enjoy a delicious home cooked meal which helped create with the whole family.
Afterwards,visit a silk factory at Sankampaeng to see the silk manufacturing process from worm to weaver; watch the pretty girls of Bor Sarng making their brilliantly-colored parasols; and don’t neglect this chance to see the other craft people at work on silver, teakwood and lacquer ware. Return to the resort.

Transfer from the resort to Chiang Mai for a 45-minutes boat ride on the Ping River. Start the boat trip and enjoy the ever changing river scenery along the riverbank. After boat trip continue by “Sam Lor” or tricycle to Warorad Market, the first and famous market of Chiang Mai. Visit the flowers market, local foods and products and etc. before going back to the resort.

There are several traditions that eventually became northern heritage, one of which is Khantoke. Lanna people use Khantoke as a customary way of greeting and serving meal especially dinner for very important guest who has a chance to visit in the North. Enjoy a superb Northern Thai Dinner with folk dances and hilltribes presentations at Old Chiang Mai Cultural Center. After dinner, return to resort.
